In 1969 Robert Smithson completed the first version of his work AsphaltRundown in the south of Rome. In 2011 I visited the city and found anarchive with material that had accompanied this event. I found aslightly out-of-focus map indicating the place where the event hadtaken place. With the map I set out to find the site and how the passing of 40 yearshad contributed to the work’s entropic processes.
