URSULA NISTRUP

Drafts, 2002
12 drawings, each 14x14 cm. Marks made by pastel moved by the
draft coming through the stone wall. (detail)

The walls of this basement consist of both brick and large irregular-
sized stones. A few stones are missing from the lowest part
of the wall, leaving an aperture through which a constant flow of
air enters the room. A coloured pastel is suspended in front of this
hole using a piece of transparent tape. The tip of the pastel just
makes contact with a sheet of paper, which is placed on the floor in
front of the hole. The draft is slight, and the paper is not removed
until a mark is made.
